Following on from the two very successful Australia Day campaigns involving Sam Kekovich railing against unAustralianism, which had firmly established Lamb as Australia’s national meat, the challenge was how to keep the campaign fresh and relevant. In the context of an election year in Australia, Sam’s presidential persona made the logical next step an election theme. We did this by mimicking as closely as possible the conventions of the election category in all aspects of our communications – including turning a national symbol into a lamb chop logo.
